Your rent is due on the date that you are currently paid to. Each time you pay rent with our agency, you will be emailed a trust account receipt which will show your current paid to dates. In the event that you wish to know your paid to date, please refer to the last receipt that was emailed to you. If you are still unsure, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
It is important that you pay your rent on time, every time so that you avoid any arrears payments. Here at Ray White Maleny, we have a zero-tolerance for rent arrears. If at any time you are experiencing any difficulties in paying your rent, please reach out to us as we are very approachable and only too happy to talk and assist where we can.
Payment of rent is direct to our trust account. Please refer to your General Tenancy Agreement for our bank details.
If a public holiday falls on the date that your rent is due, please ensure that you pay your rent a few days earlier to ensure that it reaches us in time to coincide with your due date. It is always a good idea to keep your rent at least a minimum of one week in advance to in case of unforeseen circumstances or bills so that you have it to fall back on.
If you have requested maintenance, you should not take matters into your own hands and stop paying rent as means to have maintenance done. If you do this, you are in fact in breach of your General Tenancy Agreement and you could be issued a Notice To Remedy Breach.
It is important to remember that your rental history ie: your rent ledger is an important document and is requested and relied upon by other agencies to determine your suitability for approval for a rental property. If your rent ledger shows that you are consistently behind in your rent, this could have an effect on your ability to be approved for another rental property should you decide to vacate at any time. Your rent ledger is likened to your credit history so it is very important to keep it looking healthy and happy.
